Chapter III

Thirteen Miles under the Earth's Crust

July 20th, 1919:

Nine days after first entering the Volcano, our trio passes through the conduit and enters a mysterious cavern...

Dr. Omaha: "My God, they're beautiful... are they all crystals?"

Professor Beckett: "It appears so. Look at those colours! The most splendid thing I've ever laid my eyes on! I must accquire some samples for research once we get back to the surface."

Dr. Omaha: "Research? But think how much money one could make selling these! Why, everyone will want them!"

Ms. Rommel: "Speaking of wanting, Kane, could you get me one? Pretty please?"

Professor Beckett: "That's Professor to you! Regardless, which one do you want?"

Ms. Rommel: "That one, way up there! It is the best one, and I must have the best!"

Professor Beckett: "Way up there? Ughhh... just a minute...

Ufff! I can't keep doing this in my age...

Almost....almost...

Got it!"

Ms. Rommel: "Oh goody!"

Professor Beckett: "You know, this ledge may make a good camp. I'm exhausted, plus there is plenty of fresh, cold water here. It'll probably be the freshest and clearest water you'll ever drink, considering it's never been touched by human hands. Why don't you two come on up here?"

Dr. Omaha: "Right away! You know, I think I'll gather some of this crystals too, for, ummm... research?"

Professor Beckett: "Please, take as many as you can carry ~ perhaps there can be some practical use out of them from a medical standpoint!"

Dr. Omaha: "Sure, help people medically with them, whatever..."

Professor Beckett: "Rest well, my friends... we'll be moving on tomorrow, and who knows what tomorrow holds in store for us..."

The Diorama: Very rough around the edges, as this MOC serves almost as a "soundstage" for the minifigures.
